Cards, Cards, Cards!!!

OHMYGOSH I got my first Xmas cards tonight!!!!

Mom waited for me to get home (after my training day) and she had a few envelopes addressed to meeeee! First I went into the office to make sure that she had been diligently working all day on MY cards (yup, looks good to me) then it was time to tear 'em open!

Today I got cards from Opy & Charlie and from Comet & BLU! Everyone looks SOOO great in their photos!!!! I noticed that the envelope from Opy & Charlie had a stamp with a Tazmanian Devil on it (a relative of mine, I'm sure)!

I wasn't sure at first exactly what I was supposed to DO with my cards. My first thought - eating them - didn't go over that well with mom. She explained that we were going to hang them up in the office to look at which seems like a decent compromise (at least I can look at my friends all the time)!

I'll have great dreams of my great doggie friends tonight... I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Workin' for a Living

As you can see, mom is working hard on my Christmas cards for the Dogs with Blogs Xmas Card Exchange... I have her well trained, she's shackled to the computer until they are DONE. I noticed when I gave her a little wiggle room she just didn't work as hard as I thought she should (but... but... but... she'd say, the printer isn't working again!!!). There was always an excuse. The printer isn't working, I'm out of paper, I'm out of ink, my fingers are bleeding, blah blah blah.

So today while I'm out getting my daily workout with my personal trainer Heidi, I've left Behemoth the cat in charge. He's going to sit there all day until mom finishes. He has assured me that should she decide to leave the desk for any length of time (except for a few well-placed quickie pee breaks) that he will "take care of the problem". I've seen him in action before - his special pee could peel paint off the walls - so I didn't ask what he had in mind. I just reminded mom to "be a good girl" before I left with dad this morning.

Let's hope she listens.

How Do You Like Me Now?

So I've finally persuaded mom to change the awful green-ness of this blog. I don't think I've ever shared this, but I really, really, really hated that color. And I'd have to look at it all the time whenever mom was updating, changing, or somehow ruining my blog. I far prefer things to be in the black-and-tan area of the spectrum, you know, something more aesthetically pleasing...

Now with the advent of the new beta version of Blogger, there were definitely changes to be made. And even though mom is pretty good at making things look darn purty on web pages on her own (yes, she is responsible for www.toaireisdivine.com being the Altar to Airedales that it is), she definitely appreciated how simple it was to update and change over the template on this new version of Blogger. Once she figured it out, of course. She did spend quite a while trying to change the HTML by hand before she realized that it's easy to create new categories and areas in the sidebar with just a few clicks.

So basically now she just has to fix everything. Especially the Links areas. So never fear, they will be fixed asap, and the Dogs will be in the dog area and the Cats in the cat area, etc. Oh and how do you like the new moving photo album? Pretty spiffy... I saw that on a few of my other friend's blogs, and I just had to have it.

Alright, time to let mom get a few hours of sleep before I help her finish.

Dog Day at Rally Burger

I've been a really good boy this week. I've worked out every single day with my pawsonal trainer Heidi. I'm getting all muscle-y. I'm what mom has been saying - "A tired Airedale is a happy Airedale". So mom thought it might be time for a treat.

For both of us - ok, I can handle my trainer coming along, as long as she doesn't have any funny ideas about what I'm going to get to eat! I heard the words Rally Burger and I definitely want to partake of some burger-age!!!

So off we drove, the two of us in the back seat (not nearly as uncomfortable as I thought it might be, Heidi doesn't take up that much room in the back seat of my Bogie-Beetle and she lets me stand on her to poke my head out the window so all is well) to Rally Burger. As I've been there before I knew what to expect, but this was a new experience for Heidi.

We got there and dad took us over to a table in the shade. Ahhhhh. Mom ordered and brought over a yummy-smelling bag.

Both Heidi and I instantly went into good-dog mode. Sitting up straight, watching with anticipation, waiting for that yummy goodness to be placed somewhere that we could eat it.

Heidi wasn't so sure at first, but after I grabbed one of her buns (the hamburger buns, not her butt!) she got the idea.

Mmmmm.... Rally's!

Pawtrait

Ok I'm not gonna pretend that this time it was mom's fault that I haven't written. I tell ya - I'm getting an incredible workout with my new pawsonal trainer Heidi (the Boxer)! Every day when I come home - after running up and down that hill and playing various stick games designed to sharpen my reflexes - I'm exhausted!

But I did promise to put up some new pix of my newest haircut... mom did a little more of an adult Airedale face on me this time instead of my puppy fuzz wildness.

Hanging with Heidi

I know I haven't been that prolific these days... honestly as much as I'd like to place the blame squarely in mom's lap, it's not all her fault. I've been so busy helping dad!

Each day we wake up early and head over to what I am now calling Mt. Kehoe Athletic Club (previously known as Kehoe Mountain) for some exercise, some work, and some play.

Most of the work is done by the humans - as it should be - for a young muscleman like myself I do have to work on my physique.

Heidi (the Boxer) has basically been helping to keep me in shape - my personal trainer if you will - by encouraging me to run up and down the backyard hill as much as possible. She'll nip at my heels to make me run faster, try to steal my stick out of my mouth to increase my agility, and then help me build my strong shoulder muscles with some enthusiastic digging.

After the workout, it's time for some play. Heidi and I now have a pretty good system worked out for manipulating the humans to do our bidding. This has resulted in many yummy treats and some extra stick-throwing by the hapless humans. Good times.

You can't really see too much of my spiffy new haircut in these photos (thanks Dad), I'll try to put up something better asap.
