Playing the Field

Mom showed me Miss Sunshade's latest post, and the new pink ball that she got as a present...

I thought, "Hey, I'd like one of those", and gave mom THE look. You dogs know what I'm talking about, head cocked slightly to one side, eyes all moist, maybe a paw raised in the air...

And lookie lookie here!

Mine isn't super fancy, mom said she wasn't sure if I was going to like it so she didn't spring for the "good" one, but I don't care AT ALL. This one is the perfect size for me and it's kind of underinflated which means I can actually get the whole thing in my mouth. Seriously.

I've only had it for one day and already there are teeth marks all over it. Some from where I got my entire Croco-dale mouth over it, others just from biting attempts.

I wonder why I've never had one of these before...

I am supposed to bite it, aren't I mom?

Fetchingly Yours

Ah, such fun in the park this morning with mom... I've been feeling the "need for speed" a lot recently, sometimes I get soooooo antsy when I'm stuck in our apartment. Especially lately as it's been really overcast and kinda cold here (ok, it's all relative, right?) and mom and dad have been busier than usual. It doesn't mean less walks for me, just sometimes shorter ones.

So I persuaded mom (that means I bit her in the thigh until she relented) to take me out for some more serious exercise this morning. Stick work mostly, lots of running, and I brought my latest disgusting tennis ball with me because I really like to chase it.

Mom throws like a girl (surprise!) and sometimes the sticks don't follow the graceful arc that she'd like them to, but with the disgusting tennis ball it's always a party.

Afterwards I'm always a little tired - and drooly - so I take a short rest while closely guarding my stick/disgusting-tennis-ball/hopefully-soon-dead-gopher.

PS - Yes apparently I DID destroy the lens on the new camera, luckily the old one still kinda works... mom says it's slow and that I have to not move so quickly so that she can get good pictures of me, but I think the ones she took today came out rather nicely...

Can You Dig It?

More wacky Airedale digging fun... I'm still on the hunt for the elusive gopher that has repeatedly escaped me, ready to dig to China if necessary!

Keep an eye out right at the very end of the video for a big cloud of dirt flying at the camera - mom is pretty sure that's the puff of earth that got into the lens of her camera and jammed it all up (looks like she's gonna have to pull out the old camera for awhile)...

The Agony of Choice

Oh I am soooooo ready to go to Petco! Today I'm gonna spend my gift certificate from Maggie #2, my newest Airegirl pal.... I'm gonna get PRESENTS!!!

The first thing I saw when I went inside was this and I thought of Fufu instantly!

My first thought was to look for one of those yummy bully sticks that all of the cool dogs are raving about, but we couldn't find any. Maybe a new squeaky toy...

The agony of choice made things difficult... there were so many things that were in or around my price range (not that I was too concerned here... mom always comes through whenever I REALLY want something).

Should I just get one big thing or several small things?

Should I go practical and get some food, or go crazy and get some toys?

An old favorite...

Or something new?

Packaging distracts me...

Mom and dad tried to get me interested in some new doggie shampoo... YEAH RIGHT

I finally decided... a little luxury and a little practicality worked for me... I got myself a nice big lamb bone (new and exciting) and 3 cans of Green Cow Beef Green Tripe food (my super extra favorite). I haven't had any Green Tripe in awhile, I can't tell you how much I LOVE THIS FOOD!!! And with St. Patrick's day coming up, this is sort of my little way of celebrating.

Soooooo.... can I have my presents NOW?

THANK YOU MAGGIE 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on over sometime, we'll share a burger or some of this yummy tripe food!

A Good Day to Be ME

Ok, this was a pretty darned good day...

First I got an AMAZING present from my newest Airegirl, Maggie (in SoCal, not to be confused with my East Coast Maggie...). I helped her set up her own blog (hey what can I say... I like to be surrounded by Airegirls!!!). We were going to go right to Petco to get me some cool new stuff, but unfortunately moms camera battery decided to die so I've been promised that we'll be going tomorrow. Petco here I come!!!

Then I got some quality workout time with Heidi. First we were hiking in the hills, then we moved on to some more "bodywork".

Mostly with sticks and biting. We were over at her house, mom and dad had dinner and we kept ourselves amused. Lots of bitey face and "see who can keep the stick". Good times.

We're Having a Heatwave...

Can you believe that it's over 90 degrees AGAIN here in Los Angeles... in March?!? Waaaay too hot for me and for the humans (the cats don't seem to mind as much as we do).

So in the late afternoon (none of us could stand to go out for my normal noontime walk) mom and I went out for some playtime in the park. And she remembered the camera...

Do you remember that way back in January I made a New Years resolution to get me a gopher? Today I tried again, hot on the trail of a fuzzy varmint. In true terrier style, the hole I dug was HUGE!



Then mom and I were doing a little stick-work. I was particularly enthusiastic... Surprise mom!!!
