And the horses too! We had some extra rice left over from a batch of gumbo that dad made... and it had formed into a sort of rice-cake. So we cut it up into wedges, and...

Both of the horses seemed to enjoy it, as did the nubian goats.

On the way home, I felt the need for speed. Yes, I wanted to chase some sticks around. Come on dad, try me out!!!

Airedales: We Wuz Robbed!!!

OHMYDOG, DID YOU SEE THAT???

The GORGEOUS Airedale Terrier got to do his run around the ring at Westminster but he couldn't compete! Apparently there was a "conflict of interest" with the judge and the Airedale handler.

I personally think that "conflict of interest" must mean "judge thinks Airedale is going to win no matter what because of the incredible cuteness of said Terrier so it's not fair to the other dogs for this fantastic specimen to compete because no other dog has ANY CHANCE of winning"... or something to that effect.

Yes, I feel (slightly) better now.

While all of the fuss was going on in the living room (that is, mama was fussing about the Airedale not competing), I was doing this:

Pizza! Pizza!

Hey... what's that smell?

Mmm... PIZZA. Mama isn't much of a cook, so because dad is sick today she had to forage in the freezer for her own lunch. And what better - indeed, what more perfect - food is there than pizza? Frozen if we must, but at least "improved" with some fresh tomatoes, garlic and olive oil.

That smells awfully good mama... you gonna eat all of that yourself?

Because, I mean, I COULD HELP YOU...

I know you're not a big fan of the crust...

Seriously, I just wanna do my part TO HELP YOU...

After the pizza party, time to chill out with my pal Kafka. Kafka is the short-haired orange tabby, and he is literally a furry, vibrating hot water bottle. Purrfect on a cold day such as this.

But first I had to get Kafka's attention.

He's still busy showing Willie who is really king of the household. Willie looks bigger because he's a long-haired orange tabby, but Kafka is definitely meaty-er, and it's fun to watch an orange-colored ball of fur roll by whenever they tussle.

Ah, my favorite spot.

Take Me to... Funkytown!

After the excitement of Puppy Bowl today, mama and dad felt that my funk was a little too, well, funky. I was full of energy and ready to go - until I realized that this means I get a shower. Darn. So it was off into the shower with dad, a good scrubbing with my special neem oil shampoo, and then...

Yup, it's time for some major AIRE DRY! That's right - running around the house at top speed, flinging myself into odd positions, stopping, starting, darting through mama's legs and drying my schnoz on dad's feet. Good times.

Catch me if you can!!!

My neem routine has been working out really well for me - much less crunchy, flaky terrier skin on my butt. Makes me happy indeed.

And goofy. Like always. :)

Puppy Bowl!

If you haven't seen the Puppy Bowl before, you are in for a treat. It is on Animal Planet, and it's really HILARIOUS!

Puppies of all sizes run around inside a mini football-stadium. They wrassle, they play with toys, and when they take a drink from the water bowl look out - there is a camera underneath catching the puppies in a moment of particular adorable-ness.

And again this year, the kitty half-time show! And if that weren't enough, Pepper the Parrot will sing the national anthem!
