Hannibal's Hope

This is Hannibal, Bogart's father. He is still in very serious condition with stomach torsion, but is defying the odds as only an Airedale can! I am so happy to know Bogart's family, they are great people, and every bit counts for them!  Click on the photo to go to Hannibal's Hope, their GoFundMe page, and if you can, contribute a little to his care!

Chillin at Petee's Lounge

So... this heatwave thing stinks  This humidity thing stinks.  It's way too hot here in Philadelphia.  If only there were a place that a boy could get a tasty cold drink...

Hey look - it's PETEE'S LOUNGE!

Petee is a bulldog.  It's too damn hot outside for Petee.  So his dads thought it might be too damn hot outside for other doggies too.  Mama and Petee's dads had a great talk about doggies and our special heat needs while I helped myself.

While I have seen water bowls scattered around the city, this was the BEST:

Yep.  This wasn't your ordinary stale-stagnant-half-empty-kinda-gross water bowl.  No siree.  This one had cool water flowing down from inside their house to replace the water that us fine fellas are drinking.  GENIUS

Thanks Petee!  And Petee's dads!

Lumbering Down Locust

We are really enjoying going down different streets every day, especially for the longer-than-usual evening walkie. Tonight we were heading down Locust Street...

Follow me! I know where I want to end up...

Past the folks dining al fresco, I have a destination in mind.

We are SO not in Portland anymore.

Useful machinery or Orange Monster?

No time to lose, gotta get to...

Rittenhouse Square! I love me some park action.

This little gal I am officially making an honorary Airedale. A pocket version, that is.

It's still really hot here, and the humidity is still kicking my butt. Luckily at this park they have a large fountain, perfect for sneaking a few sips on a hot night.

I can reach the water by standing and stretching, but sometimes I just for the gusto:

Did you notice the doggie trying to sneak a sniff of my sweet butt while I was drinking? Well, so did I. Notice that he's gone now and I can drink in peace.

Time to move on to other adventures. Enough amusing of random strangers for one evening.

Some chalk art...

I'm feeling kind of chalk-y myself.

Well, hubba hubba! A cute little Welshie pup! I love to see the mini-me's, they're pretty rare to see but I think that this gal and I will definitely run into each other again for some playtime.

Missing AND Action

Days without updates... it just ain't right. It's not that I'm not sensitive to mama's many moods, but I do feel that so many days shouldn't go by without even a photo of my cuteness. I could say that we've been working hard...

But the truth is a little different.

I've been working hard on my cone collection.

Choosing only the finest cones to bring home.

Rejecting those of lesser size or which have already been chomped or stomped on.

Keeping them safe for the trip home...

Ok, I sample a few...

But most of the finest cones make it home.

As far as I'm concerned, this is what I've been up to this past week. We're moving a bit more slowly these days, having some tough ones, but my everyday walkies are still a go. Can't let mama become a hermit!

And when something even tastier shows up - like this "deconstructed" tennis ball, mama is kind enough to carry the cones for me.

Remember last week mama was looking for a black tulip? This is pretty darned close to what she was looking for...

This is as close as I can get to "pointer" mode - I stop, look at the flower, and bark. Golden moment on film!
