Howl at the Moon

Do any of you other Dales do this? When an ambulance, fire truck, or police car goes by with sirens blazing... first tilt your head right, then tilt your head left, and then throw your head back and let out a howl?

I do this whenever one is close by. I get really close to the same pitch too. Mama is endlessly amused by my antics. So are any other people who happen to see me when I'm at full volume.

Love,

Bogart

Yes, I howl at sirens too.

My Dads think that it is because the sound hurts my ears and my howl compensates. I shake my head just like you do Bogie.

There is also the possibility that I could get to be the fire engine dog and ride on top the machine. Why would they even think of a dalmatian when they could have an Airewail.

BowWowzer that was a T-riffic video. Bogie, you made me (BRD) growl!! Funny thing is, I've never heard a siren up close and personal, so don't know if I'd howl at one. The only time I have made a howling noise is when I was sound asleep. Scared the beejeepers out of our mommy. She hopped out of bed and ran to see if I was okay and said there I laid, eyes closed and howling like a hound of the Baskervilles! Hootie was apparently frightened by my noises too. BOL.

Nice pitch, Bogie! Fire trucks and stuff don't make us howl... Mom's heard us howl sometimes when she leaves the house for the day. When we all start that, it sounds like a pack of wolves she says!

WOW! I am most impressed by that hoooowllll! Best I can manage is some loud barking and the Scottie ARRROOOOOO song. Not to be confused with a full blown howl at all. Oh, and yips...I can do high pitched yips...puts the fear of the flashy jaws of death in Puffy, since it's about all he can hear.
Keep on singing!
