After giving them my special "goat call", they slowly came outside.
Today two were brave, two less so.
With some trepidation, the two brave goats approached us when they noticed not only my familiar voice but also the carrot in dad's hand.
Mmm. Goodness.
We are all endlessly fascinated by these goats (the horses were also outside, but in a different part of the yard)...
Fascinated, and of course, semi-scared out of my mind. Especially when we get this close...
With no grains from the Black and Tan brewery to drop off today, I do think that our goat-y pals enjoyed the pocketfull of carrots.
And I get one sniff closer to understanding them.
Love,
Bogart

I bet those goats would be fun to play bitey-face with!

Bogart!
I don't think you look a bit scared of those goats. You just look like you're not sure what they are. They sure don't seem to be phased by anything you did, though. Their love for carrots must override any fear they might feel.
I think it's great you're getting to explore your country-ness. Maybe you guys will start growing your own hopps and the Black & Tan Brewery will move to some farmland outside of Portland. You'll be an old farm hand by then, man.
Hey, are you throwing your beard into the ring for the contest? We're still accepting photos (and measurements) through Wednesday. Think about it.
Goober love,

Great Pics! We used to have a nubian who thought she was a dog. She would routinely pull a Houdini from her pen and you'd find her on the living room sofa. When we changed the screen door to one she couldn't open, she made a ruckus by jumping on the cars in the driveway and sleeping on them!
Thanks for posting these. It made me think of her :)

The goats are so cute! Mom and dad used to have one but it was long before they got me!
Love ya lots,

Goodness I think we'd scare those goats off. You must be really nice to them Bogie if they're that close to you.
What is Kolhrabi by the way? Have I asked you that before....hmmm I forgot.

If Mom knew how to make goat cheese, we'd probably have a goat or two because she loves the stuff. Looks like they are fun dudes, way cooler than Tanner.
Those goats are eating machines, Bogart. They will eat until they burst AND if you are not looking they will butt heads with you. I would be very scared to be that close to them. You are brave.
