Surprise Snowfall

Well for once mama wasn't the only one surprised at a snowstorm here in Portland...

It seems like a lot of the other humans had no idea it was going to snow, and were similarly unprepared for the weather. Lots of slipping and sliding around, and don't get me started on the drivers...

I kept on my sweatshirt all day because it was cold!

I do like the snow - it's tasty, and it's fun to walk in. Until it gets icy and slippery, that is.

In Jameson Park there is a big Christmas tree, and it was a magnet for people and their pups tonight.

For me - eh, I've seen it and I've peed on it, so it's been there, done that.

This snowman, was another story. I really do not like snowmen. They taunt me with their beady little eyes, that crooked smile, the funny hat, and of course STICKS for arms. How could I not be confused? I barked and barked but it would not back down, and annoyed me to the point that I felt it was better to just walk away - slowly - rather than to engage.

You may have won this battle Snowman, but I'LL BE BACK once the temperature rises, and THEN we'll see who's boss...

Love,

Bogart

A snowy adventure! What fun for you and your Mom! And that snowman? Well he might have been tough tonight, but just wait, come June or July he'll be a quivering puddle! Oh wait...that's in Michigan. Might be sooner out there...

Hi Bogart be careful on the slippery patches. Having a leg in each corner is very useful, however, when they all go in opposite directions it is not pleasant!

Oh Bogart you are so brave to face off with that evil snowman! I've never seen one of them.

We love the snow! Hootie even tries to ice skate sometimes which is very funny to watch. I'm a bit more timid. Only thing is for the trip back to AZ it could be a little dicey.

Bogart,
I met a snow man in SEP yesterday too! and he was evil too! and I hated him too! My mom tried to go up and touch it to convince me it was safe, but don't worry, I knew better! I gently grabbed my mom's hand and pulled her away from that awful frosty thing. It was horrible! I'm glad you made it through your encounter safe and sound!

Bogart,
What an evil snowman. You were very brave to confront the evil thing. Your Mommy is so lucky to have you to protect her.

That snow on Tuesday afternoon and night was quite a surprise. You are wise to back away from that snowman. Those arms look dangerous.

We wouldn't mind a bit of snow, actually. We'd even put up wth a creepy snowman, anything, just make the heat go away...
