Aire Andy needs help!

I just saw this on the Airechicks blog and it breaks my heart...

Poor Andy, he looks like he's had a pretty tough time. I cannot imagine what he's been though, since my mom and dad have treated me pretty damned good...

Lotus Festival

Today was the Lotus Festival at Echo Park lake... Yippee!

And even better, I got to see my girl Heidi - she reminded me that walking around the lake is excellent exercise...

We met LOTS of other doggies...

A Chow Chow

And this little guy (can you see him in the photo? He was smaller than my HEAD)

It just isn't a party in Los Angeles if you don't have an inflatable jumpy castle...

There were lots of dancers...

And LOTS of people

Now this is how I am going to insist on travelling around in the heat - I get hot paws but this little furball looked quite content in his rolling suitcase...

But it was hard for the crowd to take their eyes off of the most exciting act there - ME!

In the evening, after all of the excitement, we walked home. Outside on my terrace, suddenly I heard a loud boom... but wait, the July 4th nonsense had already passed, so it couldn't be more of those nasty fireworks could it?

Well yes indeed it was.

The Lotus Festival = fun. The fireworks = not so much.

Hurl a Squirrel

It must be the heat...

Mom, dad, and I went out for a midday play session in the park. It's still pretty darned hot here in Los Angeles, but for some reason I had boundless energy. Just not a lot of concentration, apparently.

I'd run for the Hurl-a-Squirrel time after time as dad threw it, but I'd always lose track of where it was headed and run off in the wrong direction. That's when the real fun began, as I'd get excited to find where it could possibly have gone.

I blame it on the heat. Couldn't possibly be anything else...

Airedale Heaven!

Ah... another lovely weekend at Mareike's house and my favorite DALES!!!

I love to run in the yard and in and out of the house with these guys... we're a darned good-looking bunch of fuzz-hounds, aren't we?

And then on to Good Microbrew, where I cemented my special friendship with Mareike...

It's pretty darned warm out today - while the humans were indulging in some frosty beverages I also pulled up a bowl...

There are many reasons I like Mareike, this is a big one of them:

Yep, burger falls from the sky. She even remembers my rules for eating burgers (patty first, then bottom bun which has some beefy juice goodness on it, then finally top bun).

Thanks Mareike, I always have the BEST time with you because you understand...
