Non Blizz-aire-d

Geez. The humans were so upset about a storm that was supposed to dump feet of snow here in Philadelphia - um, no.

The winds, did however bring down a LOT of tasty sticks. For which I am grateful.

Stick after stick after stick, getting in my jumping practice as well as perfectly my eagle eye.

Nothing can break my laser-like focus, the direct trajectory that I calculate from the ground up to that tasty stick.

Heading directly for it, grasping it in my mighty jaws, nothing else exists...

Well, HELLO BEAUTIFUL

Dog Day: Afternoon

I thought the excitement for today was over. But no... we decided to try to find the entrance to Forest Park again, taking advantage of the relative grey-ness of the day, and SUCCESS!

Instead of crossing the bridge like we did last time, we took the stairs down, and boom - FOREST!

I can already smell it - I'm gonna LOVE this.

Watery, mossy, lots of dog and animal smells...

And... a Welsh Terrier!

This is Deacon - an incredibly handsome little guy.

He's tall for a Welshie so his parents think he might be mixed with something else... I of course suggested that there might be some mighty Airedale in there.

We did play, we did romp, I did get grumpy from time to time - but it is always so cool to see other terriers of the Welsh and Airedale persuasions!

So back to all of this mossy goodness. The trail is pretty long and while we didn't expect to go all the way we did manage to spend two hours walking up and down.

I love the forests of the Northwest. They're so green and so incredibly beautiful, and so full of wonderful smells everywhere.

Just another view... looks like a painting, doesn't it?

This is Jackson (the black boy) and Gillian (the white girl) - two beautiful poodles that were heading down as we were heading up.

I tried my best to make some time with Gillian, but she seems to be an old-fashioned sort of gal. No kissy on the first date. That's ok pretty girl, I can wait...

Dr. Dre Does Portland

Small but mighty, Dr. Dre wanted to explore Portland. It was freezing cold out today - and as the humans planned to go into some stores and stuff, I had to stay home and "guard the house". Ok not my favorite, but oodles better than "guarding the car"...

Chinatown - Old Town Portland - two tough guys posing.

Grrr... by this time it was COLD - enough photos guys!!!

Dr. Dre got serenaded outside of Powell's Books by a local violin player...

Checked out the pig statues on trendy NW 23rd...

Stopped for a bagel at Kettelman's - notice how my dad carried his table number. Because real men don't carry plastic table numbers, apparently.

Then time for some shopping in Urban Outfitters...

All of this excitement makes Dre a tired boy.

One last stop at the Dapper Cap - yes, this is a tiny hat, not exactly Dre-size but close. I really think these could be a full spread in Dogue:

Now how badass is Dre here?

Just hangin' out...

Ah, finally back home after a quick stop at the Lucky Lab and the Hawthorne Fish House. It's good to be home...

I'm gonna miss ya Dre - can't wait to see you again my friend!

Hangin' with Dr. Dre

Look who's here! It's my buddy Dr. Dre!!!

My Choodle/Poohuahua mix pal. Check out his sweet mohawk!

I had to let him know that I get to eat first - especially the cat food, which we both enjoy far more than the dog food they try to feed us.

Yup. He waits like a champ.

Just another minute Dre...

Even my cat Behemoth is bigger than Dre!

We're gonna hang out tomorrow too - I can't wait!!!

Choodle?

Meet Doctor Dre:

He belongs to some of dad and mama's friends and he came for a visit this past weekend. He weighs 3 POUNDS! Even my smallest cat buddy outweighs him 3-to-1. But he's a feisty little guy, super cute and un-yappy. We didn't get along right at the beginning, but by the end of the weekend we had a walkie together and all was well. He is a mix - Chihuahua and Poodle - which begs the question:

CHOODLE or POOHUAHUA?
