What's a boy and his mama to do on Labor Day... the sun is shining, the humidity is low, it's time to explore more of this fine city that we have blindly moved to. We haven't really explored the Old City area, so...
This is the National Constitution Center. GO CONSTITUTION!!! I use the opportunity to work on my very own constitution, eating some lovely grass to settle my tummy.
Ben Franklin's last resting place. I'm discovering that it's hard to not find great historical things around these parts, Philadelphia is chock-full of history.
I went in for a better look. Pushed the tourists away, actually. Had to pay my respects.
Liked this A LOT. Smelled AWESOME.
Everywhere we go, mama finds something interesting to take a photo of.
This photo looks funny but it's actually pretty accurate - most of the windows on this building had bright red coverings - it caught our eye.
But onto more important things. Exploring. Lots of galleries and cute little shops in this area. But because it's Labor Day almost all of them are closed. Silly people. Don't they know that I'm here?
Now THIS is what I call art.
So much to see, so much to do. Everything is new and exciting and smells great. I really like this exploring thing.
Except for when I want to take a little rest. It's not really that hot outside, but we've been walking for awhile. I think I'll just lay here for a minute or two mama, come join me, will you?
After a short rest stop, it's back on the road heading for home and some yummy treats and an open toilet. This boy is thirsty!
This little fella is either giving us the thumbs up or a double bird. You decide!
Love,
Bogart
