Mmmmovin' out.
Mama has been a very, very bad blogger - yet there is a real reason this time (other than her usual laziness).
In another month or so, we will be packing up our lives here in Portland and heading east - to Philadelphia! Mama says that she just found us an apartment, and hopefully someone will want to give her a job (I'd prefer that she stay home with me all day every day and cater to my needs, wants, and desires, but hey, someone has to bring home the bacon). Mama is from the NY area and well, we've been pretty lonely here in Portland since Dad passed away. So it's finally time to bring good friends and family into our lives again.
I'm helping out by packing - first the most important bits, my stick and pine cone collection.
So soon it will be off to (hopefully) greener pastures. We're all really excited and really scared out of our minds. It's going to be an epic road trip and a huge change for all of us. But mostly, WE'RE EXCITED
Love,
Bogart

Wow that's a big decision you guys made, but we think it's a good one. It's good to have friends and family in your life. And hey, let's face it you're bringing the best parts of Portland with you to Philadelphia - your stick and cone collection! We'll keep dropping in to see how you're getting on.
Good Luck with the move!

Phillydelphia??? The place where two of the most beautiful words in the English language - cheese and steak - were brought together for all time? What a great move! Your Mom must be a genius.
Hope the move goes very smoothly.

Ah, Bogart! We don't comment frequently, but we read often! I've mentioned my Corgi boys here before, although one of them passed away last year. In any case, you're headed to our neck of the woods! We're in NJ, not far from Atlantic City, which is about an hour from Philadelphia. I'm sure you'll love it here!
Well dear Bogie, The West Coast will be one handsome devil shorter when you leave, but Philly will just get that much better! Our old grammy lives in NE PA and there is definately some beautiful country there with lots of sticks and pine cones to add to your collection. Kisses to your mama and best of luck in your newest adventure.

Philadelphia is one of my favorite cities in the world, so I think it is a great place to move to. Take care of your Mama and try to pack light so your Mama doesn't have to hire a moving van just for you! Good luck!
The move sure will bring new adventures with it. Enjoy the ride!
Cute pics Bogart! Hope to see some more soon.
Check out the dog poll we created.

Bogart, that will be a good move for you and your mom!! I bet you'll like having family closer too!! Philadelphia....do they have fun parks there? I hope you find pine cones there too!! Mom and I cant wait to hear about your roadtrip. We've driven from the west coast to the east coast a few times-it's fun staying in hotels and jumping form the beds!
if you go I-40, the rest area at the welcome center in Oklahoma has a dog park! A TRUE dog park-it's pawesome. But you might be driving further north....
