Espl-aire-nade

Another hot day in the city... tongues were wagging everyone you looked. How to cool off? It looks like most of the folks in downtown are heading toward the river, so we decided to follow suit...

Over the Burnside Bridge to the east side.

Keep up, will ya?

Down the steps to the east side esplanade...

Checking out the local greenery. My virtual salad bar, if you will.

This photo makes it look like we were the only ones on this side of the river but if that's what you think, you'd be sadly mistaken. There were lots of people walking, skateboarding (and falling - you humans are really hilarious sometimes), and riding bikes.

We do a nice tour that involves walking over the Burnside Bridge, and then all the way down to the Hawthorne Bridge and then back up the west side of the river. Takes about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on how many times I feel like stopping.

Yes I know that the Willamette River is a big old cesspool. But damn it was hot. I felt the need to at least soak the paws...

And frolic...

And pose...

And romp...

And run quickly in the opposite direction from where mama is...

And find some choice stick-age...

And of course, RELAX. It's still HOT!

Love,

Bogart

My, it does look hot from the photos! No wonder you would want to dip your paws into the pool! Hope you found a better way to cool down when you're back home!

When its hot, any body of water will do for cooling your feet. A yummers stick doesn't hurt either.

I could never walk that far, you are such an athlete.

BogarT!

Two fine outings in two days. YOu really ARE one spoiled puppy... and I'm a wee bit jealous. Glad you got to take the mama out to stretch her legs and get yourself some media exposure in the process. I'd take either one of those walks, but I think I'd favor Mt. Tabor. I'm a pine cone and forest kind of dale. However, a good frolic in a stinky river never fails to amuse.

We're back after my girl finally finished her stinkin' thesis. Hopefully that will be the last time she embarks on anything like that.

Tell your mama we love her tattoo. I'm sure your papa is laughing.

Goober love,
Stanley

Yepper, you look hot. That's some serious tongue panting going on there. The walk looks great. It'd be nice to have a river to walk along. We just go to the village every day......blimey, a change of scenery would be good.

That looks like it was a pawesome walk Bogart! But if you're hot, it's still super cool here - we can swap (Mommy is dying for some warm weather).

Sorry to have been gone so long, we hope that you and your Mom Lulu are doing well.

Woofs and Aire-hugs,
Georgie
