Xmas Card Fiesta!

WOW! Today I got 7 CARDS!!!

Everything in the mailbox was for meeeeeeee! Mom said she was happy that there weren't any bills for her but I just think that she's jealous that all the mail was mine.

Today I got cards from Cubby and Dakota, Freda Shepherd, Isabella the Poodle, Simba, Holly & the Furry Five, Boo and my newest Airedale crush, Maggie!!

Maggie's mom made me the COOLEST Airedale ornament to put on my tree, so I insisted that mom do that for me RIGHT AWAY so I could see how great it looks!

Of course a Christmas tree isn't complete without presents... and while I'm still working on finding a box big enough to mail myself to Miss Sunshade I did think of you today my dreamgirl...

I was out late, it was my last peepee walk of the night. Strolling with mom, mostly just wasting time and leaving a few calling cards for any evil critters who might think of coming anywhere near my apartment building.

And then I saw it... perfectly shaped, a good size for carrying with you (for the "girl on the go" as it were) I saw a fantastic pine cone that I knew that my dreamgirl would LOVE. I scooped it up gently in my massive jaw and pranced gaily back home. Mom was surprised that I was actually running to get back INSIDE the house as I'm usually running to get OUTSIDE the house, but she didn't see my prize.

But once inside I found the Christmas tree - MY Christmas tree - the one with the beautiful new Airedale ornament, and gently placed the pine cone at its feet. I looked at it, thinking of my dreamgirl, and was happy thinking how much she would love this!

More Bogart Xmas Cards!

What I didn't know is that mom found a pine cone too and snuck it inside in her jacket - she rolled it to me and I put it next to the other pine cone. So now it's kind of like the one pine cone for my dreamgirl Sunshade, and one pine cone for my new Airegirl friend Maggie!

So ladies..... HERE'S TO YOU!

After all of that excitement, I was content to check out all of my cool new cards from all of my great doggie friends, and drift off to doggie dreamland.

Your ever lovin' man (I do love my Aire-ladies),

The Cards are in the Mail!

So today I FINALLY got mom to finish up all of my Xmas cards... I didn't wanna be late! I'm already getting cards so I thought that she should just get off of her butt, stop doing all that "work" stuff, and get my cards finished. She tried to argue with me that she was sooooo busy, that it was sooooo much work, but I wasn't having any of that.

Today the big announcement came - "The cards are ready"! So off we went to the post office to mail 'em. I insisted on doing this myself - they are MY cards after all - and luckily the guy in the post office was cool.

Well not at first... I had to do my patented move - sit, cock head to one side, lift eyebrow - and mom had to get all girlie on him, but then it was fine. So I got to personally mail all of the cards - hope you guys love them!!! I know I love getting mine!!!!

Catch Me if You Can

Here's a video of me and Heidi on Thanksgiving... she's making me work out before the turkey arrives (ok I guess it's good for my butt and all, but you can clearly see my displeasure at some of her tactics...)

Terriers in da House!

Bogart Butchy & Snickers

More cards for meeeeeeee!!!!

Today I got my Xmas card from my terrier buddies, Butchy & Snickers!!!

This is the first one I've gotten that had a little separate picture inside, which at first I thought must have been something that I could eat. Alas, mom quickly told me no it wasn't something to eat and then I took a look at it and it was a picture of Butchy & Snickers so I realized that yeah, it wasn't edible. Just incredibly cute!!!

Here I am posing with all of my cards so far... and falling asleep.

Ah, today is my Aire-dreamgirl Miss Sunshade's birthday... dreaming of you my dearest and hope you have the best birthday ever!!!

Turkey Day

Well I am pleased to announce that this year's Turkey Day was a great success. No begging was required and the sky rained turkey.

When I wasn't helping (as I always try to do) I was playing with Heidi.

I do like to be a part of the festivities, and for this holiday that means helping cook.

I'm good at this kind of stuff. I was happy to be consulted on the "done-ness" of the bird.

The "main cooks" for the day were Dad and his friend KC. KC is Heidi's dad and it's their house. They're funny guys, and posed for this "American Gothic" portrait (well it must have been at least kind of funny, mom was laughing). Dad is wearing the big hat.

Yes the food fell wild and free, and Heidi and I were there to catch every tasty piece.

After the gorging it was time to do what the humans were doing - laying down.

Heidi was helpful in making sure that my beard was nice and clean after the bird extravaganza, but I have a feeling that it was because she was planning my next workout and that it was going to be a big one (to burn off all the extra turkey and trimmings)...

Cards, Cards, Cards!!!

OHMYGOSH I got my first Xmas cards tonight!!!!

Mom waited for me to get home (after my training day) and she had a few envelopes addressed to meeeee! First I went into the office to make sure that she had been diligently working all day on MY cards (yup, looks good to me) then it was time to tear 'em open!

Today I got cards from Opy & Charlie and from Comet & BLU! Everyone looks SOOO great in their photos!!!! I noticed that the envelope from Opy & Charlie had a stamp with a Tazmanian Devil on it (a relative of mine, I'm sure)!

I wasn't sure at first exactly what I was supposed to DO with my cards. My first thought - eating them - didn't go over that well with mom. She explained that we were going to hang them up in the office to look at which seems like a decent compromise (at least I can look at my friends all the time)!

I'll have great dreams of my great doggie friends tonight... I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Workin' for a Living

As you can see, mom is working hard on my Christmas cards for the Dogs with Blogs Xmas Card Exchange... I have her well trained, she's shackled to the computer until they are DONE. I noticed when I gave her a little wiggle room she just didn't work as hard as I thought she should (but... but... but... she'd say, the printer isn't working again!!!). There was always an excuse. The printer isn't working, I'm out of paper, I'm out of ink, my fingers are bleeding, blah blah blah.

So today while I'm out getting my daily workout with my personal trainer Heidi, I've left Behemoth the cat in charge. He's going to sit there all day until mom finishes. He has assured me that should she decide to leave the desk for any length of time (except for a few well-placed quickie pee breaks) that he will "take care of the problem". I've seen him in action before - his special pee could peel paint off the walls - so I didn't ask what he had in mind. I just reminded mom to "be a good girl" before I left with dad this morning.

Let's hope she listens.

How Do You Like Me Now?

So I've finally persuaded mom to change the awful green-ness of this blog. I don't think I've ever shared this, but I really, really, really hated that color. And I'd have to look at it all the time whenever mom was updating, changing, or somehow ruining my blog. I far prefer things to be in the black-and-tan area of the spectrum, you know, something more aesthetically pleasing...

Now with the advent of the new beta version of Blogger, there were definitely changes to be made. And even though mom is pretty good at making things look darn purty on web pages on her own (yes, she is responsible for www.toaireisdivine.com being the Altar to Airedales that it is), she definitely appreciated how simple it was to update and change over the template on this new version of Blogger. Once she figured it out, of course. She did spend quite a while trying to change the HTML by hand before she realized that it's easy to create new categories and areas in the sidebar with just a few clicks.

So basically now she just has to fix everything. Especially the Links areas. So never fear, they will be fixed asap, and the Dogs will be in the dog area and the Cats in the cat area, etc. Oh and how do you like the new moving photo album? Pretty spiffy... I saw that on a few of my other friend's blogs, and I just had to have it.

Alright, time to let mom get a few hours of sleep before I help her finish.

Dog Day at Rally Burger

I've been a really good boy this week. I've worked out every single day with my pawsonal trainer Heidi. I'm getting all muscle-y. I'm what mom has been saying - "A tired Airedale is a happy Airedale". So mom thought it might be time for a treat.

For both of us - ok, I can handle my trainer coming along, as long as she doesn't have any funny ideas about what I'm going to get to eat! I heard the words Rally Burger and I definitely want to partake of some burger-age!!!

So off we drove, the two of us in the back seat (not nearly as uncomfortable as I thought it might be, Heidi doesn't take up that much room in the back seat of my Bogie-Beetle and she lets me stand on her to poke my head out the window so all is well) to Rally Burger. As I've been there before I knew what to expect, but this was a new experience for Heidi.

We got there and dad took us over to a table in the shade. Ahhhhh. Mom ordered and brought over a yummy-smelling bag.

Both Heidi and I instantly went into good-dog mode. Sitting up straight, watching with anticipation, waiting for that yummy goodness to be placed somewhere that we could eat it.

Heidi wasn't so sure at first, but after I grabbed one of her buns (the hamburger buns, not her butt!) she got the idea.

Mmmmm.... Rally's!
